OUR HISTORY
In Liberia
Liberian Association for Unity and Development (LAUD)
The Liberian Association for Unity and Development (LAUD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged Liberian children through education and holistic development. By providing tutorial programs and fostering well-rounded growth, we strive to shape the future leaders of Liberia.
We firmly believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for creating progress and positive change. Guided by the timeless wisdom of Proverbs 22:6 — “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” — we are devoted to nurturing both the spiritual and physical development of every child we serve.
At LAUD, our mission is to equip the next generation of leaders with the skills, values, and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Together, with your support and their eagerness to learn, we can create a brighter, more hopeful future for Liberia.

Current Initiatives in Liberia
Our efforts in Liberia focus on addressing critical needs and creating opportunities for vulnerable populations:
Supporting Orphanages: We are dedicated to building the capacities of existing orphanages to ensure they can provide safe, nurturing environments for children. This includes providing essential supplies, training caregivers, and improving infrastructure to enhance the well-being and development of the children in their care.
Rehabilitation and Reintegration for Girls and Young Women: We are developing a transformative program to rehabilitate and re-integrate girls and young women (ages 13-23) who have experienced emotional, social, or physical trauma. This initiative offers counseling, skills training, and support systems to help them rebuild their lives, regain confidence, and reintegrate into society as empowered individuals.
Our work in Liberia reflects our unwavering belief in the resilience and potential of its people. Together with our supporters and partners, we are creating pathways to healing, growth, and opportunity for those who need it most.
